Want to buy m6 mufflers

Hi everyone
I am interested in m6 mufflers. If you can them for sale, please let me know.

Are you putting these on a 5 series?

Why not the m5 muffler? Not compatible?

Is this something commonly done? Are there performance gains to it as opposed to aftermarket or is it purely for a different sound?

And sorry, I don't have these mufflers for sale or anything but the idea is interesting...try eBay motors or our classified section.

I know two people that did it. They told me that m6 muffler fit very well, no droning, the sound changes a little bit. So, not too loud. And it is cheaper that any aftermarket exhaust. I do not think that there is performance gain and i dont need it. I just want a quad look and a little vruuum

I am definitely interested in seeing this.

I read where drapizan in Toronto bought the E63 mufflers along with 4 DiMisa Tips for his F10 quad setup, but I don't think he has done the actual install yet.

I really want to go Quad with the stock mufflers, the 550 diffuser, and with the attached Cyba's Double Layer Black Chrome Quad Tips, but apparently the F10 535i has very little space between the stock muffler outlet and the rear bumper, and even the short 8" Cyba tips, hacked down to 7" after cutting an inch off their inlet side, stick out past the bumper a little bit farther than the stock setup.

So now I am thinking about just going with the M6 Mufflers alone, or even possibly using them with different tips, like 4 black chrome ones if I can find them and they will fit.

So please do it and post pics!

True, but also a lot more coin, and for some, they have no desire to alter the sound or eke out any HP gains, rather they just want the Quad look on an otherwise stock car, so dropping $4k plus on an Eisenmann or Meisterschaft exhaust system wouldn't be worth it.

Damn! They're that much?! I thought Dinan and some others had kits under $2k??

I think you atleast need 3 k for a decent/reputable after market exhaust

What about BMW motorsport exhausts? Assuming they eventually make one for the F10 of course...

Those two are, and the Supersprint 535i Cat-Back is $3.25k. And that's not counting a couple hours of labor for installation. And those are for the stainless versions with lightweight Titanium versions costing even more.

Dinan is actually more if you consider that the Dinan F10 550i exhaust is an Axel-back only system (Mufflers only - No X-Pipe) and it's $3.6k, and they do not offer one, or anything yet for that matter, for the 535i. They are supposed to have one coming out this summer; however, if its anything like their 535i tune promises, it will likely be the summer of 2013 before it makes it to market. Whenever it arrives, it should be at least $700 less, since it won't need / include the Vacuum Valves like the 550i version.

For under $2k, all I have seen is the Remus SPORT exhaust system, which also is an Axel-back only system, and runs about $1.8k.

Do you know if there would be that noticeable of a gain in regards to a kit with x-pipe vs just mufflers?

I'm not planning on ever taking her to strip (well, maybeeee haha) so the most I ever see myself doing is a tune, exhaust and intake. The latter of which I haven't heard many people speak of for the F10..

I'm not an Exhaust expert, but I think any gains come form improving the air flow, so to any extent that the X-Pipe by itself is less restrictive than the stock one, than there should be some gain related to it, and whether and to what degree that is the case would depend on the actual X-Pipe design, which varies by manufacturer.

Thanks for the thorough info...I'm just wondering if mufflers would be enough instead of the whole x-pipe kit, you know? As for the F10 forum, I think I read that thread regarding the testing of the AFE CAI...but like you ssid, I didn't see what came of it. I read that some guys were just using the drop in K&N filter for now. I might give that a shot too...
