Reset memory seats to factory defaults?
Simple question: I've been messing with the seats and would like to have them reset to the factory defaults. I have (real world, not "OMG I have lol") OCD and when I get too tied up in adjusting things it helps me to go back to whatever the designers had set originally.
I know it's possible because I took my old 3 series in for maintenance once and the seats were back to they were originally (they had also "forgotten" their memory settings). I just don't know how to force this to happen. I read in the older models there's a key combination when you start up the car? |

as far as I know, there is no factory default. Just keep resetting to where it works for you.

I will say that you can try losing the memory settings in "memory" by disconnecting the battery and see if it resets to factory default setting (moves into factory position) when pressing setting 1 or setting 2. If that does not work, either the setting is in non-volatile memory or when the car cannot find the memory setting, it leaves everything where it is as default behavior. Hope that helps and works.

Correct. There is no "factory default". Just keep adjusting it until you find the right position, then set the memory. I am the only one who drives my car, so I set both buttons in case someone messes up one of them.
