diffuser
hey guys,
i wanna sand down my diffuser and paint it again. any idea what grade sandpaper is the best to use? google said 800+...  any of you guys messed with somethin like this before?

|
Typically to give the paint something to bite into, you sand with 240 - 320 grit. Then prime and sand with 320 - 400, then paint.

Then I realized it! It's a convertible with a hard top installed. Whew!

hey pinecone,
im about to start this project. (got some time off work finally) so you recommend sand, prime, sand and then paint? i thought it would be sand, (2 diff grit levels) prime, paint then clear coat. thanks for input

Go to a respected body/paint shop. They'll steer you the right way. Hell, I even had one let me use everything in their shop to prep my car!

Primer is made to be lightly sanded before the color goes on.

finished at last!!!
did some sanding, priming, sanding, painting (x2-3), and clear coat (x3) thanks pinecone for your input! FrankMM- i want to do any work that i can myself on my car, kinda feels better when done u knw? lol what you guys think?

its a ac schnitzer carbon fiber one, came with the car, cant tell ya much more sorry.
