e36 shock absorber review

any advice and product review for SPAX shock absorber for e36
some one offering it 400 for complete set, used for 2 month already.

Here's one example:

They have a terrible reputation in the UK and sadly my experience would this up. I had them on my m2 when it was first built - thought they were great for the same reasons as you've described, and they were CHEAP, which should have been a clue.

The adjustability didn't take long to fail - turned but something internally had broken and it didn't do anything (eventualy all 4 corners), leaving me with mis-matched damping all round. Then one of the rears failed, in a completely separating into two bits kind of failure. Pretty feckin dangerous really.

Anyway, I was past my warranty (the car did few miles over a long period) and combined with moving country/changing careers, I never bothered taking it up with the company and I certainly didn't want them replaced like for like.

Not disputing your findings, Ed, but that review was from a set on an MG rather than a BMW and it was an experience that happened 7 or 8 years ago. The reviews I found for current BMWs using the Spax sets were generally favorable.
