how to get more horse power from 4.0

given that the bmw e38 is a tank i still feel like the 0 to 60 is slow what can i do to get more power from it besides intake and performance chips any thoughts would be a great start

i still would like to get more hp from the egine any tricks or tips that you know of to tweak the engine some

hmmmm, premium gas fresh spark plugs, and 02 sensors...My opinon U dont want to much more HP on these engines w/ the infamous timing chain guide going out prematurely. Higher RPM will make it happen more quickly.

25hrs of labor on this to replace timing chain guide.

If you're serious about power then check out VF engineering. They have a supercharger for the E38/39. http://www.koperformance.com/BMW/tur...or_e38_740.htm.

I hear they run about 5 grand also do you have to do any tranny work to compensate for the power
