If BMW wants to move cars (the 7) or get a few more on the road for advertising, I'm sure it would eventually return.

The deal has expired. It was actually just below $600/month for European Delivery. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=584523 http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=581577
And before we get into the arguments, is it $600, $700 etc. that will depend on different factors. But in every case, it is likely the best lease deal to date on any 7 series in history in any part of the world. It was so good that 5 employees at 1 dealership took the offer - http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...***post6556388

obviously a lot of misinformation here. matt sounds like a newbie and got in a little over his head (after all, no knowledgeable person leases a car for 5 years around here...1 year out of warranty, etc.). anyway, let the guy try to sell his car here. he's offering to give the buyer $250/month and $2500 cash to get out of his lease so overall it's not a bad deal. if someone is out there trying to get a lease on the same car today for the same terms, i would recommend going with Matt.
only problem is that i would never recommend a 5 year lease to anyone...4 years max but usually i only go for 3 year leases. also, i believe that dennis (dencoop) is selling his 750i AH lease...the one that we all got for $600/month. i don't know how much he's selling it for though. can't compare our $600/month 750i AH deal that we all got last year with this deal today. times change, prices change, AAPL stock changes.

The deal was an aberation and should not be compared to most 7 series leases. Quite frankly, I think BMW made an error in offering the deal anyway (didnt factor severe price decrease with ED plus good dealer offer, plus ECO, plus option, plus MTD, etc). The residuals made a huge move higher the following monnth and most of the credits were gone too. $1200 sounds like a rate most would expect to pay on a new 7 or AH7.

exactly.
i actually leased a 2006 bmw 750 Li for 3 years from 2006-2009 12k miles/year and i worked hard to get a great deal on that car. in the end, my deal was around $500 over US invoice with max MSDs, etc. i paid $1074/month and it was a killer deal. So $1250/month for an AH isn't that bad. i am loving my 750i AH though. i even got my BMW CCA rebate yesterday so another $1500. deal of a lifetime.

the only other killer deals that i can recall (other than the 750i AH and M3 last year) was the Z4 deal a few years ago. but i would safely assume the chris knows more than i do about this topic.
but this time is the first time that i actually went out and took advantage of one of these. i let the other deals go by...

Chris,
Is this particular to a time of year or more random with BMW? I may consider a lease in the future, but it would have to be a great deal for me to even consider. I've always purchased my vehicles historically.

All things being equal, the best general time is Nov-Apr. But killer deals can pop up any time, and often coincide with end of model, production excess (needing to drive demand), or wanting to get demand for a future car (ie in 3 years time, we want X number of people to buy the new car when this car is off lease). The last one is more speculation on my part.
