Looking for a replacement compressor for my 1988 635csi. Located in Hawaii but willing to pay the extra shipping if the price is right.

I'm in the same boat. There are numerous vendors selling AC compressors.

This link contains a list of vendors. http://www.bigcoupe.com/links.html

My compressor has a slight leak but I am hesitant to convert to R134 as the R12 systems cool better. I have to add freon each year but a friend has a 35 lb bottle of R12 so I am probably going to keep my current compressor until the leak gets worse.

Are you guys looking for new or used?? Best bets, IMHO are Japanese compressors like a Seltec or Sanden. I have a used Sanden. I can't verify condition. It was on my car and ran, but car is being restored and I put in everything I could new. New compressor should run about $275. If you can't find one I can get Seltecs locally.
