Z4 Blue tooth/ Voice command Microphone
Where is the actual bluetooth/voice command microphone in the car? The manual doesnt give its location. People are telling me its hard to hear my voice on outgoing calls.

The mic is situated on top of the steering column.

I've always wondered where the mic was myself, AND wondered what the heck those holes were on top of the steering wheel column :-)

Microphone
I have had similar feedback on my outgoing calls and find it helpful to make sure I am speaking directly into the area through the top of the steering wheel and maybe even move a little closer when speaking. Incoming audio is fantastic! As far as I know there is no way to increase the volumn for the outgoing transmission?
Good luck! david |

It's 2012! I really wish BMW would put a user adjustable equalizer (parametric) on the phone system... It hurts my ears when I'm listening to callers speak to me. I have to turn it down in order to avoid the terrible sound of their voices. And also, Puh-LEASE put a brick wall or multi-band limiter or some type of soft knee compressor with ducking on the phone system. The dynamic range of the phone calls is insane. One second I'm hardly hearing the caller and the next second they are blaring. Every person I speak too tells me the same thing. They can't hear my voice well. They say it sounds like I'm in a tunnel with a water fall behind me.
