ews doesen't recognize my key anymore

I have owned a '04 e46 for two years with no problems. Last week I went out to start the car and the engine starter would not kick in. I have a new battery and everything worked except the starter. Long story short I had it towed to a private shop and they said the key was not being recognized by the ews system. I brought in my other key and it works fine and the engine started and every thing is ok now--except how do I get the other key to work. It still will open the doors and trunk but not start the car.

Any ideas how to get this key to work again. Thanks

Try to re-initialise via the instructions in the wiki. You will have to do both keys at the same time.
