They're in the mirror now, just like the F30 3 series. I believe this is a EU regulation issue.

At the show, Jurgen told me the Valencia Orange X1 had the XLine package. The description for XLine does not specifically state sport seats so not sure about sport seats in that

XLine Package (ZXD) - 18" light alloy Y spoke wheels, Dark Copper high gloss trim (NC) or Fineline Bay matte wood trim (+$500), Leatherette upholstery or Nevada Leather (+$1450). Cannot be combined with ZMP.

I was there Saturday the 14th sooooo sick! The i8 looks even more amazing in person along with the matte blue M3 they had so sexy!

I really thought they would do something ingenious to stir the pot and offer an x1 diesel as an option.

Bummer. It would be the perfect car for it. AWD, torque-ee diesel, good mpg, small and nimble. All the things a potential anti-big suv consumer doesn't like about gas guzzling oversized SUVs, but does understand the appeal of an AWD, cool, aggressive, lifted stay-wag.

That would be too perfect. oh well. not getting one now.

Well, yes and no. If you experienced our traffic every day (and our underinvestment in mass transit), you'd wish that cars and gasoline were more expensive.

If anyone else was wondering, based on the X1 weight on the international BMW site and weight diff between a #28i & #35i vehicle, I surmise the X1 35i will be around 3800 lbs, and X1 28i about 3660 lbs. A bit heavier than I was hoping they would be, but whelp, they are pretty sizeable cute'utes as opposed to the Countryman.
