I spent a large amount of time in the Evoque this weekend at the New York Auto Show. It's tiny, cramped, and priced almost on par with a base X5. It is overpriced and too small. Sure, it looks great and the interior is of high quality. Land Rover has worst in class reliability and resale, therefore no thanks. These two things are way more important to me than looks. Gimme the Audi/BMW/Mercedes
I love the Evoque, but no way in hell am I buying it. It's funny because my Land Rover dealer is a 2 minute drive from my house and the BMW one is 10 minutes. I'd take the BMW every time. X3 is a fantastic car

The Evoque is a gorgeous design, but REALLY small feeling inside. And that's to say nothing of the potential for reliability issues.

Let's just say that for some the looks of rear and side are an acquired taste......which I've yet to acquire. What I really struggle with is why people, journalists in particular, place the Evoque in the same category as the X3. Just because the pricing is similar? The X3 size-wise is perfect for me. The Evoque would be totally impractical. They are not comparable - if you need the rear seats and luggage space - which surely most X3 potential purchasers will.

Size-wise, wouldn't the X1 be closer to an Evoque?

As long as you got the car you really want and didn't let the individual sales guys drive your choice. Enjoy the RR.

In terms of size then yes. Even I would have to admit the X1 is not the most exciting looking car around but it's very capable and far cheaper than the RR.

[QUOTE=The other thing I am waiting on is to hear if they will actually deliver a Dinan chip for the X3 N55 engine.[/QUOTE]
+1 35i 4500 rpm break-in recommendation is brutal - although not as bad as the "///M cars" this is my first N55 not a bad engine - comparing to the N63 and S65 I likey
