Get the power sander you will not regret it. I tried to hand sand a inch rust spot off near my grille and it took 3 hours to sand. After that I used a power sander on my hood and it was so much better. It only took an hour to sand a 2 foot thin strip of rust on my hood and that was with a really bad sander. When I sanded my door at first I used the bad sander but I got tired and decided to try the Black & Decker sander that I did not think would be as good. The Black & Decker sand was great it sanded through rust like it was nothing so whatever sander you get make sure it is good. After I power sanded the rust and paint off I finished sanding the metal by hand. The paint came out great and now I cannot imagine painting my car without a power sander.

We got about ten minutes before this entire county is up in flames. If you want to live, youd better step on the gas! Oh wait is this a Tesla? Sh!t! Well, step on the prissy pedal, we're going to die! Cartman
