Electrical!!! Ooh noooo :(
So the other day I noticed that my license plate light warning had turned on. I took a look but my lights were still so I followed the wires til I found some cut and some frayed. ( they were in the trunk and looks like they got severely pinched) so being the idiot I am proceeded to touch and wiggle the wires they sparked so I left them alone til the next day when I was able to splice all the wires. (I actually did a good job
) but now my Dome lights don't work, my windshield wipers don't work, my power locks don't work, and my winds and sunroof don't work either. Any ideas? I need help. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg to fix it unless I have too.

well, when you went all:
(LOL You probably shorted a few fuses. Check the fuse box to try and find any blown fuses

No doubt one of those wires is tied to the locking system which you shorted out. Probably one fuse controls all the items that are failing now.

When the wires touched I did hear the locks lock everywhere. But I checked all the fuses and the only ones that showed they Wernt getting any juice were the headlights and those are working

How about the power distribution box under the back seat by the battery , you should check those . I believe its all tied in that box .

I checked the fuses around the box but not in it. I will take a look when I'm back to the garage and tell you my findings.

supertech77 is right, there are a couple of fuse blocks in battery box that tie everything together. Look especially at fuses 17, 24, 30, 31 and 47 as they are part of central locking, windows, sunroof interior lighting and wipers.

So I replaced two fuses and now everything but the dome lights work. So I called an auto shop and they said they don't work on BMW. A customer overheard the phone conversation and asked them to give me his number he said he knows a lot about electrics on mostly boats but he loves BMW also and he works on them. So I gave him a call and he lives near by so he stopped in and took a look he said the only thing he can think of is the timing relay. Does this sound like an possible problem?

If everything else works, I would check the bulb in the light to make sure you did not blow it. Not sure about a timing relay, will have to look at the manual when I get home this afternoon. Dome lights are switched so that you can have them come on or stay off when the car door opens.
