Nothing wrong with that. And if it does work, that is wonderful thing.

I checked the oil drips for the past 3 days over paper towels. They are getting smaller every day. However I have only driven about 115 miles and about 90 minutes drive time. No impact on engine sounds or drivability

Oil leak/drips have almost stopped. just a small amount and seems to be smaller each day. However I have only driven about 300 miles. 5/4/2012

The oil filter housing has a paper gasket so no rubber for that stuff to swell which is the usual method for this type product. Personally, I'd be afraid of this stuff softening all the other expensive to replace seals to the point of failure.
How is the new, new trans holding up? EDIT: Ooops, I stand corrected, I see you have an M50 engine(I live in an M30 world)which has a rubber seal. Do you plan to leave the stuff in if and when the leak is corrected? While I am no fan of fixes in a can the comparisons to fix-a-flat and cooling system fixes are not valid. Good luck with this.

Really, that I did not know. it looked like a rubber gasket in photos I have seen thats one reason i used White Shepherd. I will look for a better picture. Thanks.
There is a trany problem. When cold (below abt 35 degrees) , it will momentarly slip out of reverse on first start of the day. otherwise perfect. The rebuilder and indy shop are going to replace the trany under warrenty. it is on order from the rebuilder. |

I have driven over 700 miles with White Shepherd in my crankcase. Looks like leakage is about 1/2 of what I had. It did help.
I now have about 2-4 small drops clustered in about a 6 inch circular area if the car is let set overnight Each drop is about 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter on paper towels I spread under the car. IMO, the leak is not reduced enough. I will need to fix it. |

I like the idea behind the product. If the drips dont positivily smell like motor oil. I would guess its the power stering line that leaks or even the brake fluid . Its nice to know that the product helped. Thanks LD

Today, I noticed only 2 small drops of less than 1/2 diameter. looks like the drops are becoming less over time. Perhaps this stuff does work given enough time/mileage.
Perhaps it may even help vanos seals. ![]() Nothing negative regarding engine performace. |

Sorry this a duplicate.
BTW, the drops of oil are getting smaller. Today there were two drops about 1/2 inch diameter each. No engine issues after about 1,000 miles. Perhaps this stuff does work. Perhaps it will even help vanos seals

how's the oil drips coming along. I've noticed some small drips coming from mine as well and need a temp fix until money is available. Was thinking of using the Lucas Stop Oil Leak though

I know i had used Lucas Transmission Slip on my Grand Prix i used to have and it worked. If it wasnt for that stuff my tranny would have went out along time ago.

if i could pinpoint exactly where the leak is coming from that would be a big help. I think i'm going to use some degreaser and clean the engine up a little. It does look like there's a little leakage around the edges of the valve cover.

Wondering if the oil leak stopped completely or down to a minimal amount that you can live with. Thanks

Glad you commented. Well I changed my oil. Leak seems to have come back. apparently there was not long lasting effect. Need to fix the leak. In this case White Sheperd was not sucessful.
