low beam headlight warning

I got a warning on my 2006 BMW X5 to check my low beam headlights out.

If the light switch control is set to the "auto" mode (Where it turns on automatically when it gets dark enough) both halogen low beams work.

If I turn on the lights manually (turning the switch clockwise all the way to the right). The drivers side low beam halogen doesn't light up.

Any idea what the issue could be here is?

disregard...was a bad xenon bulb

nevermind. It was a bad xenon bulb. Thankfully was covered by warranty. They said they had to remove the bumper to replace the bulb. Sounds ridiculous to have to do that just to change a bulb if you ask me.

Glad it was a simple fix. If you have the right tools, it can be done without removing the bumper. But it is stupid that you need to remove the bumper to change a bulb.
