E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993. |

Great first efford Chris !
Maybe using 2 pieces for it to fold and fit within top's compartment, one at maximus alowwable lenght so second will meet it less than halfway up., there's clear seals you can use in between them to avoid rubbing. Or perhaps retrofitting a glass unit from smaller convertible tops from Posch's, Miata's, etc. but that would require making our canvas opening smaller. Congrats. Frank |

E30 cabrio Glass Rear Screen
Hallo Frank
Thank you for your input on this subject, however I must say that this is a very old joke brought up nearly every time I make a new development (Alfa Spider, Audi 80, Z3 etc.) and post it on a forum. If you look inside the compartment for the E30 top you would see that there is absolutely no room for anything else let alone two pieces of glass on top of one another. they would also have to be flat to fit in which definitely does not fit with the shape of the hood. Quite apart from the fact that who in their right mind would pay money for something that looks that bad!![]() Regards Chris Clark |
