Best Places To Drive Close to Munich

Hello,

I"ll be taking delivery of an F30 in a few weeks. My delivery time is set for 9:10 am and I'll be dropping off at Loginout at 3:30 on the same day. Figuring I'll have around 5 hours or so with the car, once I get out of the Welt with it. What are some recommended places to go or good autobahn experiences in a short amount of time?

Make your way over to the A99 east to B471 north to B388 and take a nice little drive over to Erding, which is nearby the Airport. You will get a short stint on the Autobahn, some country driving, and visit a nice german community. Once there indulge in a nice cold Erdinger Pikantus or two. From there it's only a short drive over to Log-in.

If you like beer drive down to Andechs then hit Garmisch/Fussen

Actually, not recommended to drive to places that you want to drink bier unless you have a designated driver.....you don't want to get a DWI in Germany, it will certainly mess up your flight plans...agreed on a trip to Garmisch/Fussen, maybe Zugspitze will be on display that day.

Just curious. Euro delivery is the experience of a lifetime.

And you want to do this in one day ..... why

Ask your delivery specialist on the day.

I've written about several day trips south of Munich and included an interview in my book with Hans-Joachim Stuck and his favorite drive out of Munich (in a BMW 2002 - his choice). Basically you can head south towards Garmish and pickup the Alpine Road in either direction and have a good time! Aim for a lake. Any lake would do although I prefer Tegernsee and Starnberg.

We've done this many times before. We're planning this one around a Mediterranean cruise.

Just haven't spent a ton of time in the Munich area in the past.

Cant wait to see what your F30 looks like!

Take a nice drive in the country side for a little lunch by the side of the road!
