2001 740il power issue

After just buying my 2001 740il, I noticed during some local driving that the car kind of misfires and shutters which sounds like its coming from the drivers side. I was thinking that oil has gotten into the cylinders and fauling out the plugs but am not sure. the car throws no codes and am kind of stumped I am also thinking coil pack any ideas? I can be emailed at henrysteeneck@sbcglobal.net

Mein Auto: 1997 740i
I'm new to the Bimmer world and just got a '97 740i. It has several issues I need to address but a 50hp jump in power without spending 10k sounds good. Could you go into more detail what you did? This is the first post I've seen about getting a significant jump in HP without a TC or SC.
