Brake Bleed Screw Size?

Hi Guys,

Stupid question, but I am feeling stupid all weekend. I was doing a brake fluid flush this weekend. Had turkey basted all of the old fluid out and put fresh fluid in. Took off rear passenger wheel, brought out the 7mm box wrench that I've used for all my other BMWs and....
it doesn't fit.

What is the size of the bleeder screw on the X3? I want to say 9mm, since 8mm didn't fit either and 11 was too big, but I figure I should be sure before I go off and buy additional tools, and more brake fluid.

Amazingly, search on forums here and on google didn't turn up obvious results, other than 7mm.

It is a 9mm. for sure - just done a routine brake service on mine.

(Not sure it is necessary to suck all the fluid out of the reservoir. Why not just bleed off at each corner until fresh fluid appears?
Total system capacity is about 0.7L at a guess, so 2 of the 355ml (12Fl. Oz.) bottles of BMW DOT 4 suffice.)

I used pentosin dot 4 on my last change but super is right. 9mm and about 24 ounces.
