How would you get water out of your carpet, your home, your basement? Wet vac. I'd shampoo it afterwards to ensure odor is gone. Afterwards you can determine if you need a new carpet or not.

More importantly, how did you get water there in the first place?

When I noticed the water I did dry vac the carpet. The carpet is really bad. The mechanic said backup with a/c and sunroof causing water to come out from under rear seat. Is it hard to get carpet out? Thanks for your help!
