Depot HIDs failed inspection

I'm guessing bc when they turned the low beam on the OBC said low beam failure, then proceeded to tell me that the ballasts are known to catch fire and they can't pass it. I'm gonna use some black vynal I have a sheet of and cut a pc to cover the OBC screen and take to a different shop, just pissed me off

Technically they're illegal under federal law, so you found one of the few shops that care.

Yea, man that pissed me off, I've never had that issue before... Oh well all turned out good vynal over OBC did the trick
I know there's a way to "fix" the OBC so that it doesn't show low beam failure upon turning the lights on..?. Anyone know where I can find the info or how to?

If I recall correctly, there is a way to put the OBC in a mode that makes it not show light failures... Maybe google "hidden OBC features e36," I'll see what I can find..

That is a funny way to trick the inspectors.

this is probably the #1 reason why i am not going to go with hid's. i already have a phantom brake light out warning that pops up now and again. i do not wish to add to that frustration.

and it's v-i-n-y-l.....spell nazi out...
