My BMW Remote - not so good

I am not impressed with this App. It just does not seem very useful and it does not work very well. When I attempt to locate my F10, my iPhone's location is displayed instead. When the App has searched for my vehicle and I am more than .6 miles away, the App says I am too far away and will not display the location for security reasons. Also, I tried to flash the vehicle's lights and it did not work. IMO, this APP is a big disappointment.

Yeah, right now its kinda like your key fob on steroids.

But it is a promising look into what is available if they would just release the .6 mile block (privacy reasons)

Sending Google Map to the car is good.

That's because of the stupid 2G connectivity in the car.

You'd think car makers would be on the cutting edge when it comes to connectivity.

Since our cars run on AT&T's old 2G network, it looks like they will be useless in a couple years when the old GSM/2G/EDGE network starts to get taken down (NYC will have their EDGE network removed in the near future)

It's only real benefit is the Google search and integrated send to car. Then again it is free...

Does anyone know why the App locates my iPhone instead of the F10?

You're not pressing the button (I believe it looks like a wrench? Phone not in front of me).

The default display is you, the phone. Once you press the wrench, it will find the car after a bit.

You (the phone) are the pin point, press the upper right corner icon and the car will be located (after an interval) showing as a triangle at the edge of a circle.
