fitting asantis? EDIT new question post 6

I ran into an issue.. first of all im driving a 80klbs monster so ill keep it short.
Im new to bmw and this forum..

So i bought a 04 745 but stock rims dont last on my cars too long. I bought some af128s iirc 3piece asantis, back are 295/25/22 front 265/30/22.. back fit like a glove but the front not so much, i can bolt them on, but the spring or w.e the hell that plate rests on the tire when i bolt it on, did i F my self or is there something i can do to make it fit?

I can post pictures sunday when i get home
P.s i apoligize for any f'd up grammer im doing 75mph in an 18 wheeler...im not use to writing novels while driving.

Thanks guys-mike!

A - Maybe the wheels are too high of an offset, and thats why it may be hitting a tad.

B - The easy fix that should work if raising the strut up a little to give it more clearance in that area.

Sounds like either the offset of the front wheels is off so the wheels are to far into the wheel well, or the car is dropped a little to low. You may be able to add spacers in the front. This will push the wheels out and provide a little clearance between the tire and the part you're talking about. You have to measure the amount of space there is between the tire and the fender if there is any space at all. Do a search on this site about spacers and wheel offset to bring yourself up to speed. Post some pics when you're able so we can get a better idea of what you're talking about.

+1 on spacers my friend had exact same problem he bought rims didnt check the offset. Had to buy spacers to make them fit. His car looks like a truck now with wheels sticking out and its not dropped lol. I agree measure how much space u need just to fit them and buy proper spacers.

Mein Auto: 05' BMW 745i,
Actually I dont believe 04's had TPMS. I believe they ran off the version FTM(Flat Tire Monitor). You need to go into the Car Data of your MMI and choose FTM. It will then give you the ability to reset and by doing so it will reset itself to the new wheel or tire size you currently have on. Its pretty sensitive. I just put new Asanti wheels and tires on mine and the next day the FTM was alarming. I was like you've got to be kidding me. Took it in and turned out to be a VERY SMALL leak in one valve stem. Crazy that it caught that... Haven't had a problem in weeks since the stem being fixed... Problem is that it doesnt tell you what tire. You have to check unless its obvious...

Hope that helps..

Yeah you're right, i put the back tire on the front drive like. 25mile flat tire turned on lol, yes also doesn't say which tire, but i check 18 wheels few times a day, always keep a pressure guage in the car, to check tires.ill try this when i get home thank you

you dont have a flat, you have to reset the system, go into settings, i think its ftm and just click reset.

one more time go to FTM(flat tire monitor) in the cars settings. to reset you have to be at a complete stop. Once you reset any change in tire pressure will set off the FTM
