Fingerprint Sensing?

My friend told me his uncle has a seven series and it had "fingerpring recognition" when the car was unlocked, the door wouldnt open unless the hand of the original driver touched the handle. I know about the keyless system that you touch the inside of the handle to unlock it and side to lock, but this seems like BS to me. Fingerprint recognition on the handle, is there such thing?
