Ipod for '03 w/ factory nav

Title basically says it all.

Bought an 03 vert with factory navigation and no CD changer. CD port is behind the face. Looking to get an ipod integration or at the VERY LEAST an aux cable for the OEM radio w/ nav. Is there any way to do this without replacing the head unit?

An aux wire would be fine also and if there is an option for that I'm all ears. Thanks for any help.

There is adapter that plugs into the CD cable in the trunk. Blitz Safe, IIRC.

I don't think I have a cd cable in the trunk. There is NO cd changer, just the nav box where you put the cd

Why don't you just get the BMW system?I have that for my 2005 M3.It's an ipod wire that goes from your glovebox to the back of the stereo. You don't see any wires.I don't have Nav but it just works off the AUX funtion on your radio. It basically thinks you are using the CD changer. You just leave your ipod in the glovebox .Your car doesn't need to have the CD changer in the trunk to do this. The only thing is you can only play your playlists. The CD changer has 6 CD's to choose from,so you can only have 6 playlists and you have to label them in itunes BMW1 BMW2 BMW3 BMW4 BMW5 BMW6.I have been using this for the last three years and it works great.I'm pretty sure the dealer said that it works for all E46 cars starting in 2002.

I just had my dealer do it.I could look up the invoice tomorrow and let you know how much it was for the unit and the install. You could just call your local NY dealer and ask them how much it is.I know the guy at my dealer who did it and they do have to pull the stereo out of the dash to install it,so i'm not sure how tough it would be for you to do it yourself.

If you want to go the factory route, I have kit avaible HERE. About half way down the first post of the thread found HERE you'll find the aux install instructions.
