Mein Auto: 2000 E39 M5
Just bought a 2000 E39 M5

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum. I have a 2011 328i E90 that is my current daily driver. I just bought my brother a 2000 E39 M5 for $11k. I couldn't pass this deal up because the owner put only 51k miles on it.

Here is what I have so far. The rubber around the front window is peeling off. The rear right window regulator isn't working. Might have to change the fluids on the car. The pixels on the car need to be fixed for the dashboard/speedometer. And the car needs to have new tires as well.

Here is the question. Can the E39 M5 be worked on by myself? Or is it best to have the dealership do it. I want to keep this car as stock as possible because I want to keep this car for a very long time. I am the second owner of the vehicle.
