My Bimmerfest Photos

Thanks! I use my 50 a lot on the 5D. I have many (more expensive) lenses, but the focal length and speed of the 50 is awesome - especially when I have a long day of being on my feet. My favorite setup is my 1D with either the 24-70L or the Zeiss 100 f/2 Makro Planar.

Nice I love the 50 1.4. I've owned a few of them (always find myself coming back) though the $99 1.8 is also great. My favorite lens is the 135L. I took a few pictures with it (see my photo thread) I also used a (relatively rare) 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 (only $250 on ebay and 20 years old) the shots of the white F30 were taken with that. Very crisp despite being Canon's oldest wide angle. The 24-70L is awesome, I can't wait for the MKII. Should be out by the end of the year. I think that lens will put everything to shame and render everything mostly useless (except maybe the 35L II) hehe. I am using a 5D2 but used to have a 5DI (I still prefer the 5DI for simplicity but got the 2 to play with video and larger screen) all in all, both are nice.

I've had the 135L twice. I sold the most recent one when I caught the Zeiss bug a couple of years ago.. The 135L is magic, I wish I had had mine back!

Nice. It's funny how people like us have several of the same lenses cause we can't make up our minds.. I gotta try those Zeiss lenses. I'd like Zeiss Distagon f/3.5 18mm or a Canon TS-E 17mm. I like wide angles but the zooms simply don't perform that well. Anyways sorry to turn this into a photography thread!
