I thought this was rather interesting. A famous US Skyline is going to be crushed. Not a huge fan of yellow but i understand all the work he has put into this thing. Worth around 100k

Can someone on here point me towards a window cleaner that doesn't streak? I don't want something that says "Doesn't Streak", I want something that someone actually uses on their car and does not streak whatsoever. I've used a lot of stuff that said it didn't, and my windows always end up looking terrible

Im trying out the other camp for a bit. Just got my grubby hands on this, an '88 Mercedes 190E AMG.

initial thoughts are that it is FAR more luxurious than an E30 despite the fairly similar price tages both now and when new. that said, this is the 2L model and i was expecting a lot more balls than it has, its very slow, and its weight sure does show, it wallows around all over the place. i guess Mercedes wasnt about speed like they are now.

I was thinking of doing some aesthetic upgrades to my car. Since most of my friends are complete ricers I wasn't going to get help from them. So I wanted some words from the E30 community on how to make my car look better, but not ricey. Any recommendations for front valances, or headlights or anything? Heard smiley headlights are the way to go, and not angel eyes. But anything would be great

smiley headlights, euro grills, facelift valance and bumpers, maybe an iS lip, or move to NZ for the same price and buy an E30 with all that for $300US

its cheaper to rice a car out than it is to build a proper one.

pretty much everything Andy said is what you should do. only thing i'd change is smoked smileys over the regular smileys, but even clear smileys are better than sealed beams. it's the little things that seperate an epic car from an epic failure.

I'd much rather spend a lot of money to make my car look good, than save a buck or two and my car looking like this Thanks for the replies guys

My valve cover gasket needs to come sooner. Did an oil change yesterday to a part-synthetic high mileage oil, and I'm pretty sure the switch made the oil leak bigger. Done driving for awhile until my parts come in

the rear taillights look like a direct copy and paste from a mid 90s civic.

Awh. I would say run normal oil unless you rebuild it. When the next gasket goes it may just piss oil. You may also find new oil leaks.

Replaced the valve cover gasket, brand new spark plugs, and gapped the valves. It's at the shop right now getting the center support bearing, flex disc, and O2 sensor replaced. Should have her back sometime next week.

Was loading an s52/zf in my van with a couple people, to bring back to the shop and put it in an e30. Guiding the trans in, the hoist slipped in a small rut in the pavement, exhaust pipe that was cut off, caught my thumb between it and the bumper, when the unit swung on the chain. Deep cut, go to get a paper towel off the roll and my thumb wouldn't close!

Severed the flexor pollicis longus tendon that goes basically from your elbow to the tip of your thumb. Had to have emergency plastic surgery to re-attach it. Have no idea how long the incision was since there's a cast on my arm, but man it hurts. Drove to the hospital and was quite upset thinking I was going to lose movement in it. Such a small cut and it did so much damage.

Won't post a pic in case of any weak stomachs, but click if you want to see my thumb bone lol...
