Are you guys serious that you can code any module with the car running? Like any?
Should there be one that I avoid if the car is running? |

really? one AC mode specially for him? i wonder what it is? |

@Shawn
Yes, E70 and yes, I use NCSExpert...more cryptic than e-sys by a long shot. Need to be extra careful when coding that car. |

Wow. I am going to try this next time with ac blasting and coding. This is a first I have heard of this and if your saying it works, then its a go for me next time

No, no... This is serious stuff for us F07 folks!
![]() ello888 is your car left drive or right drive ? (are you in Hong Kong?) Your exterior hatch buttons are the opposite from mine (center is big hatch, right is small hatch) so I wonder if that is based on the drive side. Just a thought. FWIW DLM

Well think of it this way. When you code HU-CIC unit the navi screen is on with ignition and when its actually coding the FDL the navi screen just resets itself and continues to work, so this is not far fetched at all...If Shawn says its doable its golden

I code with my engine running all the time. Never an issue.

Yes, I am serious, and I have never had any issues, although if I was programming the DME, I would exercise some caution, and I would NOT leave the engine running.

Damm, i have been stuck in that hot thing for so long!!!!
Dmunz, car is RHD and yes am located in HK. don't think it is a RHD/LHD issue. I think it is because when BMW first launch, they thought the small hatch will be used by a lot of people. little they know that NO ONE USE IT! and now the newer release, they swap. my guess only.... at least I never use it except for cleaning and now coding/testing! |

KAFAS---->3000 TLC_CODING, 10---->ROAD_EDGE_WARNING_ENABLED (grass_curb)...
Just glazed on this option looking for SLI... Did a test run .....i think Lane departure Warning will now read the curb if there is no line. Needs more testing Last edited by DreamCar; 06-01-2012 at 09:03 PM. |

Pretty soon they will have the car drive for you and I think the SLI technology will play a factor in the future for BMW!

I think Audi already has it.. Active Lane Correction.. the steering gets adjusted of the car is drifting of the lane
Active Lane Correction + Active Cruise Control is almost auto drive |

You guys have maxed out almost all the features, now we need some lighting functions and error check to be done! I need to buy me a F-series soon as this is so addictive and I cant even have a car to play around with.

Hatch button function seems to have changed with the 2011/2012 model year. Mine is a 2012 and has the buttons like yours center=hatch right=boot lid. In turn, on the loaner that I've got (550gt) the buttons work opposite., it is a (early) 2011. Both are LHD. |

Just wondering if coding for these features have been found:
-hold start/stop button to turn off the car -double blinking signal lights (euro) -disable the low temperature warning Also this feature "always remember air circulating" - what does it exactly do? Is it suppose to make my car remember where the AC was last left? I turn mine off almost all the time, but when I turn my car on later on, it still turns on. And onn the cheat sheet, it stated that the default mode is NOT ACTIVE but mine was ACTIVE. One last thing, is there a way to close the mirrors without holding the lock button on the key FOB, as in just closing it with one press of the lock button when you lock the doors?

@clutchlee;
I have not seen either of these 3 codes yet, but I will be on the lookout for them. I think for your AC, you want: IHKA / 3000 / IHKA_Codierdaten / OFF_MEMORY = A/C to remember to stay off when you powered it off last time you turn off the car key. I have not seen a way to single click lock on the Fob and fold the mirrors, as the delay is there by design to allow people in cold climates to lock their doors without folding the mirrors if they are frozen over.

Thanks shawn. I am going to try that code tomorrow along with the highbeam/foglight flasher one. I'll let you know if that works as well.

OPEN_RSCR_WITH_PUBU_A_PILLAR: MY CAR: nich_aktiv / Werte=00 - Button Opens Big Hatch LOANER: aktiv/Werte=01 - Button Opens Small boot lid USE_FBD4: MY CAR: nich_aktiv / Werte=00 LOANER: aktiv/Werte=01 @ello888 What is your parameter for: SCH_TOEHKI? This is the parameter that should enable the button inside the car to close the hatch. I've got it as Aktiv/werte=01 |

SCH_TOEHKI. I believe SCH stands for SCHlüssel (key/fob) and HK stands for HäckKlappe (boot lid). What the others are, I have no idea.

actually, thanks for all the help, am please to report back that my inside car button actually OPEN and CLOSE the big hatch.
what shawn said was right. I left my car overnight and tried it just now. works like a charm. although my 3rd and 4th button are swapped, thats a no issue. i got what i wanted. so all F07 owners, those are the codes you need to have fob and inside button big hatch operation. |

@ello888;
So, if I have understood you correctly, now: Fob 3 Open = Big Hatch / Close = Nothing Fob 4 Open = Small Hatch / Close = Big Hatch Inside Open = Big Hatch / Close = Big Hatch This would seem normal, except that one would expect Fob 3 Close = Big Hatch & Fob 4 = Nothing, which I believe is how @ISTBimmer's works with those identical settings, or even better if Fob 4 Close = Small Hatch. And if my understanding is correct, if your ECU is wired the same way @1STBimmer's is, then there has to be some other code we are missing that is causing the difference. If your ECU is wired differently though, then some other combination of the already identified codes should allow your Fob 3 Close = Big Hatch.

shawn, yes, those behaviour is right.
no worries, i am not too concern in remebering 3rd button to open and 4th button to close. in essence, i am not losing any features. retrofit is my next project. have a basic F20 that i want to retrofit stuff. still no one answering to my Edit CPS question.... |
