South Orange County (CA) indie shops

I've sent some PM's to locals but haven't gotten replies.

Anyone in the area, south OC, recommend a good indie repair shop that would rape my wallet?

Also, any good stereo installation shops and tint installers?

I'm new to the area and to my BMW so need some assistance.

thank you.

Robert at e30Motorwerkes in Huntington Beach is good and very reasonable.
He specializes in e30, but also works on my 530i.
He did my crank case vent hoses and water pump.

Some also recommend Quality, down on Forbes road near the freeway
and Crown Valley parkway. However I had a bad experience with Performance
which is near there. Avoid Irvine BMW.
Tint Plus is up there near Irvine BMW and does good work.

Stereo

There is one shop on El Camino Real on the right after you go up the hill past
Rite AID., but I think most e39 guys add thier own sub under the seat and maybe swap out some speakers.
The oem stereo actually sounds pretty good to me except lacking some low end.
I think there are threads on that.

A guy from long beach who's always at the e46fan forum is a good indie mechanic and installer. His name is cholea. 562-253-3828. Hit him up.
