I am considering replacing the RTAB bushings with something more substantial than the stock rubber. Even with shims I am noticing too much delay with the rear of the car taking a set in fast transitions. There seem to be many similar products, from Powerflex, Turner, Rogue, etc. The Z4 MC will continue to see hard track and street driving.
If Scatha is going under the knife it also brings up the question of what else it might be efficient to replace. FCABs too? Should I switch to solid aluminum subframe mounts? Switch to Powerflex in place of other OEM bushings? I await opinions... |

I replaced the RTABs with the black RE poly units last year and have been very happy with them - no additional noise and the rear suspension seems to have become a bit more predictable on a track. I put them in my freezer for an hour before install and they slid right in using the NAPA SilGlyde grease.
http://dertt.fotki.com/m-coupe/maintenance-1/rtabs/ For the front I just replaced the FCABs with new OE ones as I could not find anything out there for e86 M's and I did not want to put e46 M3 bushes in as they are a different fit. Stock RTABs were quite shot

Thanks pal. I ended up ordering the blue Rogue bushings. I doubt any slight noise they make will be noticeable over the TCK shocks, monoball sway bar links and r-comps. And I could be wrong, but I figure additional lateral stiffness in the bushing might beneficial considering the extra torque my car puts down vs. stock.
