Extended Warranty - is it worth it?

I have 2004 745Li with 103K km on it. I love the vehicle but am very concerned about the repair costs. Everything or repair for this vehicle seems very expensive.

Honestly, I am not sure if this is a reliable vehicle. I thought it was but loosing my confidence. For example: It had transmission leak. To install a new pan and fill transmission oil cost me 850 bucks that too from a certified BMW mechanic. It would have cost me a lot more had I gone to a BMW dealership.

Based on above I am thinking of buying an extended warranty. I got a quotation from Ensurall for 3 years/65K warranty for $2500. It will cover the following. Please let me know is it worth.....I will appreciate your feedback.

The warranty will cover:

Engine
Turbo Charger
Super Charger
Transmission
Differential
Transfer Case
Transaxle
Air Conditioning
Electric System
Seals & Gaskets
Zero Deductible
Rental Allowance

I highly suggest you get one, but one that covers a LOT more! I have an exclusion warranty which states WHAT IT DOES NOT COVER for around 10K USD. So far my warranty company has spent 40K including rental cars.

Get a warranty> Get one. Get one. I had 70,000 miles. I made the mistake and thought it would take years to make up for the $4K for a warranty...wrong! Guibo joint 1K, Mechtronic sleeve 1K, alternator $1.5K, Door handles 1K. EVERYTHING is a thousand dollars. I bailed on BMW and got a new E350...there was no end to the repairs in sight. I hoped to keep my 7 for 200,000 miles. Never, ever woulda happened. Great car, but it's like maintaining a fighter jet, you have to calculate maintenance hours per flight hour.

Yes, get one. AUL has been good for me.

its not bad but what do they mean by *Electric System* what does it include? shop around maybe u can get a better deal

Thanks a lot folks for your input. I am very nervous now...lol....I bought this car for 22K lasy year and have already spent about $2000...should I just sell this white elephant? My toyota camry is around 300K km with no issues what so ever....I know its the luxury and comfort you pay for but I donot think that this 7 series is reliable.....

Should I just sell it...take my losses and go to lexus E350 may be or LS460.....or even a 5 series......thanks for your thoughts...
