We have been hearing for quite some time about the existence of new M Performance Parts coming for the sixth generation 3 Series. We have even seen European catalogs and details but we had no idea what to expect for the US market. That changes now as we have the details about what parts are coming including pricing details. We also have exclusive photos and video of all these parts on an Alpine White F30 335i. You can view the full photo gallery here. M Performance Parts Available this May ![]() M Performance Brake System - $2,300 MSRP The first performance parts that stick out on the list and on the car would probably be the M Performance Brake system that is available for both the 328i and 335i. This upgraded system is made by Brembo and features lightweight construction while packing in a 4-piston aluminum fixed caliper on the front axle and a 2-piston aluminum fixed caliper for the rear. Color is also your choice and you can choose between M Performance Red, Yellow or Orange...all sporting the M logo front and center. Add in drilled and grooved, internally ventilated lightweight brake disks measuring in at 370x30 mm in the front and 345x24 mm in the rear and this set up is a very tempting upgrade. Rear disk brakes must be ordered separately at $200 each pushing your total cost to an MSRP of $2,700. ![]() M Performance Exhaust - $1,250 MSRP Sticking with performance oriented options, the M Performance exhaust is made of stainless steel with two chrome-plated 80mm tips with a laser engraved M logo. This exhaust looks very sharp in person and is sure to improve the sound coming from your 335i. Right now, exhaust options for the 328i are under consideration but nothing available yet. ![]() M Performance Steering Wheel - $800 MSRP One big change for you as a driver is the option of an M Performance steering wheel. This particular wheel is wrapped in Alcantara to enhance grip in extreme driving, has a flat bottom for a more sporty appearance and puts a red stripe at the 12 o'clock position. As you would expect, the Alcantara feels great in your hands and is a nice feature. Coming in the fall, you will also have the option of the M Performance steering wheel with an enhanced race display built into the wheel (pictured above). This is a really great addition if you plan to track your car and want the functionality to help you improve lap times. We do not have pricing at this time for this wheel but you can be sure it will be more than $800. ![]() Black Kidney Grilles - $130 MSRP This is a common aftermarket part for BMWs over the years and we are glad to see BMW finally offering these high-gloss black kidney grilles to enthusiasts. They look great on the Bimmerfest Long Term 328i and are super easy to install. ![]() Sport Stripes - $250 MSRP & Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps - $650 MSRP There are heavy doses of carbon fiber options in the parts list and the carbon fiber mirror covers once again give certain cars a great alternative look. The sport stripes that run the length of the car are available in black or white and look much better in person than some previous pictures may have shown. ![]() Carbon Fiber and Alcantara Interior Trim - $950 MSRP This interior set consists of 7 pieces throughout the dashboard and include replacement door handle pulls. This carbon fiber is not the glossy material that you may be used to and instead uses an open-pore carbon fiber that gives the interior a nice look. Add in some Alcantara accents and it is a very good looking interior set if you want to mix it up. ![]() Carbon Fiber Selector Lever - $180 MSRP This option is available for both the 6-speed and automatic crowd and continues the sporty, carbon fiber look throughout the car. Pricing listed is for the automatic lever with the manual expected to come in slightly cheaper. ![]() Double-Spoke 20" Wheels - $4,750 MSRP Get some forged alloy wheels on your F30 and lower that unsprung weight. These wheels have a high gloss-turned finish on the face and Orbit Grey paint between the spokes. Did we mention that this is the largest wheel/tire size approved by BMW? M Performance Parts Available this November/December Power Kit for 335i BMW is not rushing the power kit and is still in the process of testing the power kit for the 335i to make sure it performs flawlessly. There is still a chance of this getting pushed back until the start of 2013 depending on how development goes so you may not want to spend too much time thinking about getting this one installed on your F30 any time soon. We asked about a 328i kit and it is still under consideration with no decisions having been made. Let's keep our fingers crossed! ![]() Front Splitter, Rocker Panels and Rear Diffuser for M Sport Aero Kit This may be one of the coolest parts that is coming but is also one that requires the M Sport Aero package to take advantage of. The good news is that there will be a retrofit kit for those of us who were not able to or did not opt for the M Sport kit on our F30s. Each piece in this aero kit is designed to have the option of being left black, painted to a specific color or anything in between. Individualize your kit by painting it in a way that no one else has. M Performance Suspension Kit The M Performance suspension kit will set your car another 10mm lower to the ground from the M Sport suspension. This means about 20mm (roughly 0.75 - 1.00 inches) in total lowering height from the stock F30 ride height. ![]() Carbon Fiber Rear Deck Spoiler The rear spoiler looks very good in person as you can see and will work well on any number of exterior colors. A good option for those wanting to complete the carbon fiber look all around. What are you getting? We have been lucky enough to get a pair of the Black Kidney Grilles on the Bimmerfest 328i and think the car is looking better all the time. We can't wait to add more M Performance Parts to our 328i and want to know what part you are most excited about? WIll you be running out get these when the parts go on sale to start customizing your 328i or 335i? Last edited by pix335i; 05-04-2012 at 08:46 AM. |

The car looks really good in person but will look even more awesome with the 3/4" to 1" drop that it should have. Overall I was very impressed with the quality of the parts and think they are some great options for people.

If you were to buy an M sport package in Estoril Blue, none of those caliper colours would look good. I like the sport steering wheel with the red stripe, which is cheaper than the one with the LED display.
I wonder if thsi stuff can be factory-installed.....?? |

My buddy bought a 135 about a month ago. His performance exhaust will be installed at the US port, not at the factory. I assume it will be the same for the F30?

Weaksauce
Am I the only one who thinks this is a pretty lame offering? Is anyone really going to buy anything other than the blackout kidney grills and maybe the steering wheel?
What's up with the Hostess Cupcake shift boot?

OK, noob question. These parts are available for the current 328i and 335i as post-production add-ons, correct? Are these the same parts that will come standard on the M3? When will the 2013 M3 model be released?

These parts are not likely to be found on the next generation M3 as these are designed for the 328/335. The next M3 is still a ways off into the future with the current M3 Coupe continuing production until mid-2013. We don't expect to see an M3 release until the 2014 model year at the earliest.

NO to the Fast and the Furious Stripe and those wheels are too much IMO. I love the rest though!

Grills, maybe the shifter knob, the spoiler, and the top-end wheel. Keep the strips and all the fiber crap. Too bad they don't offer the spoiler in matching shadowline trim.

BMW M Performance rear spoiler For a powerful, sporty look. Available in two versions. Either in high-quality black plastic or as BMW M Performance carbon rear spoiler (pic 6 ). The latter is carefully hand-crafted from 100 per cent carbon, weight-optimised and offers maximum stability. |

Well, I'm apt to be of like mind as you Tim (and that link leaves little to debate or speculate about; thanx for it; I hadn't seen it) ... I was just going by this individual who reported that his CA told him something 'revolutionary' was happening this time...
