Quick Suspension Question

I've searched this out in the forum and also checked out the wiki - but I can't seem to find the answer.

My 04 330i has about 68k and I'm just not happy with the way the front suspension feels - over small bumps it's a bit noisy and I can feel more play than I think I should. From research I'm thinking it's time for control arms and bushings -

Who offers the best option for a non-sport suspension? At 68k should I do both the bushings and control arms?

Appreciate the help!

For front control arms, regardless of sport suspension or not, I'd go with the Meyle HD kit. Max has it at www.oembimmerparts.com for a good price and free shipping.

Looks like I'll need the Front Control Arm Kit Meyle HD? At 68k this is a typical wear item? Anything else that I should have my indy replace that's related to this repair?

I had my front end suspension inspected by a reputable indy. I have 67K miles on my 04 330i sport. He said the bushings were fine and the front suspension is solid. The car was mostly driven in the highway so I guess it would depend on how harsh the roads have been in your suspension. Have it checked before you start throwing money away.

Yes, it's a typical wear item for your mileage. If you do control arms, CABs, Sway Bar End Links and Steering Flexible Joint, you'll have refreshed all the typical wear items in your steering and feel a huge difference.

Are your tires worn? Mine got louder with wear and certainly didn't handle as well.

Thanks for the solid advice. I'm taking it in this weekend for a look at the front-end. I'll post an update as soon as I know.

NOBODY can get anyone into a "GOOD" set of coilovers for $499. "Good" starts at $1200.

We stand behind these being "good" we are even offering a money back guarantee. No other coilover company will do that.

Ok. Can we get some technical information from you? Spring rates? Shock Dyno info? Pictures?

FRONT 345 REAR Progressive

Hardly any company has a dyno. Maybe KW since they have that technical info for their products.

Quick update - - I ended up purchasing the Meyle HD kit from oembimmerparts.com - fast and free shipping - Control Arms, Bushings and Links. Brought it into my local indy and he replaced the parts and while it was in I had all the belts changed. Long story- short - the car feels amazing - what a difference!! She just hit 70k - so hopefully I'm good until tire time.

Thanks!
