2008 318i service

Greetings, folks,
My free maintenance has recently expired, so I will be getting maintenance done by an independent garage close to home. I looked at the service data in the iDrive and found oil change, brake fluid and state inspection data. iDrive let me update the state inspection date to next year. I found a helpful post from Daboogster as to how to update the brake and oil intervals, once I have the service done.
Question: The oil service data in iDrive says -2200. Does that mean I have 2200 to go or is it overdue by 2200 mi.?
Second Question: What does the brake fluid service entail - just checking the fluid level or replacing the fluid? If replacing, how often does that need to be done? The car has just under 50K miles on it.

Thanks for the help, in advance.

Perry

Nope, but it does good for anyone to correct a person who's in the wrong because they lack the ability to follow simple instructions.
