Oil overfill- will damage have occurred?

Think I must have accidentally overfilled by 750 ml or so.
I drive then read over max. I had added 200 ml at a time then ran the car till the oillevel displayed. Did not press the stalk button to initiate new check though. Hadnt done many miles and no high rev running. Took it to dealer who said they drained off 1.5 litres. I never added that much! Nowhere near. Anyway, it is reading 3/4 full now. Dealer made no other comment and car runs fine. Any idea if permanent damage likely to have occurred. May have done 50miles max before drain off
