Should I feel bad for buying a 2012, with 2013's around the corner?

I didn't think about this in April when I ordered my first BMW ED...

Now that I'm reading about forum members who are starting to place orders on 2013's I'm starting to wonder if I should have waited a month to pick up a 2013. I pick up my 550i M Sport at the end of this month (June), so it's too late to do anything about.

I'm sure many of you have put a lot of thought into when to buy, and the significance of model year. Please share any thoughts you may have on the topic. Thanks!

I think you shouldn't worry about it since there isn't anything that can be done. But the next time around, weight the pros and cons before deciding. I took delivery of my 2012 in March, and have zero regrets.

Same here - picked up my 2011 M3 in September - no worries at all, now this one upcoming 528Xi I've got mixed emotions as I like the new '13 optional dashboard. But the more I thought about it, if the panel went out, I'd have no gauges, but on the older dash, if a gauge went out, I'd only loose that gauge. (Rationalization works wonders) hehehe

I think that once you see your car, you won't regret it. I did my ED in April and thought about waiting for MY2013. I wasn't under a time crunch or anything, but April worked out well for my schedule so I went ahead and did it and couldn't be happier. It all worked out in the end as well, as two weeks after I got home, my daily driver was totaled when an uninsured driver hit me. I just took redelivery of my car on Wednesday at the PCD and I couldn't be happier. Enjoy the entire experience and don't look back. You are picking up an amazing car that is going to make you very happy.

The only real difference IMO it would make except few spec changes here and there is the resale value. If you are leasing or buying and planning to keep it for many years than it doesn't really make any difference.
