M3 euro delivery June 5

I'm posting at the very last minute. I'm in the Welt in the premium lounge signed in and picking up my new m3 in 10 minutes. I'm going to sign into das buch and will post per the 12 hour rule here! I can see my car from the premium lounge. Freaking awesome. This is my first euro delivery, first BMW, first car with less than 100,000 miles on it, and first new car. Time to go to Stelvio!!!

HAHAHAHAHA....do the people who live in the town of F**king ever wonder why anyone who uses the, ahhh, cruder types of English might find their stadt so interesting??? I would have to think that the locals are aware of the mirth engendered by their name...what a hoot...time to see if Google Earth has the town listed as such...LOL

Yes, it does show up that way on Google (and other) maps. The German pronounciation is "foooking". I remember a funnier than hell article about the town in a British newspaper a few years ago - tried to find it, but to no avail.

Yes, on Google Earth (and activating Google Gallery) there is a short post done by someone who explains the looooong history of the name, which supposedly starts back in the very early 11th century...it goes on by telling all how much money the town has spent replacing stolen signs and how they had to replace the signs with types that are basically impossible to steal..

The writer of that post stated that at one time in the recent past the town council tried to call a vote to change the name of the town but the requested name change was soundly defeated!!!

SO...the people in the town of Foooooking are apparently quite happy with the name....ausgezeichnet!!!!! I wonder if they have a bar/restaurant or hotel where the town's name would show on the receipt?? HAHAHAHA

Got back from my european adventure. Aside from the chronic depression that has set in here are some more pictures. I will post more as time permits.

It was a religious experience. The Entire trip was. Fluela Pass, Stelvio Pass, Nurburgring, Paris, Koln, Nurnburg, Zurich, Merano, The Dolomites, on and on and on. As TripleFive told me when we met each other at the top of Stelvio, It is surreal. People dream of going to stelvio pass little alone in an M3 ZCP and here we are, standing here now. I still cannot grasp what just happened even after having been there. I watch my videos and almost dont believe that it is me doing those things but it is.

Wow, we did almost the exact same trip and I feel exactly the same. I cannot believe those two weeks actually happened. And my nephew thinks I'm the coolest guy in the world for taking on the Nurburgring and those passes.
