Replacing vanos filter and broke a white o-ring
Hi All,
I replaced my vanos filter and I broke a white small o-ring (next to a small black o-ring). Right now I installed the vanos filter kit with missing the white o-ring. Is it OK without it? I called a couple bmw auto parts and they don't sell it separately. Looks like I might have to replace a whole pressure limiting valve (part # 11367838080). Or can I use another small black o-ring (11311318659) in place of that white o-ring; they are same size (10.82X1.78MM)? the space will fit both of the black o-rings. What do you think? Here is a link to pressure limiting valve with filter and o-rings (No. 3,4,5,6) for ref. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...93&hg=11&fg=15 This is the vanos filter kit I used. You will see the white o-ring in the video. I did post my question in here but realized the thread is moved. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=495604 Please advise Last edited by trism3; 12-19-2010 at 10:51 AM. |

Just received a new pressure limiting valve and turn out that white small o-ring/sleeve is supposed to be like that. Doh! Anyway, I used the new valve.
