The easiest way for prospective buyers to peruse the deal potential would be to visit www.BMWConfig.com and build the X5 of their dreams and calculate the factory wholesale (invoice) price. The only line item it won't add for you is the "MACO" advertising fee that is debited on BMW new car invoices.

MACO is part of the invoice. The "something else" would be a nominal amount of profit for the dealer to cover the cost of doing business.

I had this misconception that this was a specific deal for X5 by reading the other posts but the "something" obviously varies so at the end of the day, we dont actually know how much we are paying for it till that "something" has been negotiated.

The "something else" also does not take into consideration any holdback or trunk money that the dealer may get from BMW I suspect.

I assume that is all taken into consideration.. incentives e.g. eco etc?

Yes, of course.

2012 X5 diesels now are becoming scarce, but the 2013's (6 cyl petrol and v-8) are available.

Jon has taken the position, as is his right, to only sell to people who can take delivery at his store in Santa Barbara. It is because he wants to have complete control over the process to ensure that all of his clients have a perfect and seamless experience. After much thought and reflection I understand why he does this and respect his committment to customer service over total volume sales. So...the answer to your question, as far as I am aware, is no. Being in Florida you should contact Florida's closest fest sponsor, Adrian Avila. Jon posted his email address in an earlier post. Adrian is in Atlanta, GA, but many of his clients are from South Florida myself included.

You've nailed it. I would do a PCD for a CA resident for sure. How cool would that be -- driving cross-country home to California from South Carolina...
