Dinan performance numbers

Extended warranty doesn't cover Dinan upgrade. So if you do it now, you can only worry free for 9 months.

I believe Dinan provides a 2yr warranty for cars outside the basic warranty period.

Hmm, my research says otherwise, if they do, I would do the upgrade tomorrow, since this is the only reason that's holding me back.

I talked with the folks at Dinan this morning. In my case in which I have 9 months remaining on BMW Basic Warranty, Dinan will warranty the car 2 years from installation date. So, I would have matching 9 month warranty (BMW & Dinan) and then 15 months with Dinan...

!!!! Cool! So they will still warrant it even the factory warranty expires! And that's exactly how long I plan to keep the car for! Guess I have to pull the trigger then!

Didn't it mean he has 9 months matched warranty, and the rest just Dinan warranty on Dinan-tuning related failures only?

I would think so, but he has extended warranty for the rest of the car anyway.

That's the moment of truth then - if he's confirmed with BMW that BMW does continue the extended warranty even though the car has Dinan tuning, then it's cool. But somehow I doubt that.
Everywhere people write that their extended warranty is voided if the car is tuned.

A fellow Fester, Hammadurb, had a 2009 BMW 750i with 62k miles, both turbos were replaced. He had a Dinan tune and the BMW extend warranty and his net cost was the $50 deductible plus tax.

Actually his experience is one of the reasons NOT to tinker with the engine.

I'm ordering the Dinan stage 3 for my 750I X M package. I have a 2011 with 23,000 miles on it and am purchasing through BMW the Dinan 2 year extended warranty witch they said starts at the end of the 4/50000. I believe it's a total of 6/100,000 or 6/unlimited miles so I'm told. I have to make sure before I do anything, doesn't sound right but that came from Dinan. BTW today Oct. 1st-30 15% off Dinan sale.

i wish they would make package for the AH7......I would love to add on to what i already have!!

BMW 750I X Msport. Ordered Stage 3 Tuning today with exhaust. 511HP 580 LBS Torque. Covered under BMW 4/50k then aftermarket by Cornerstone warranty kicks in 6/100k bumper to bumper Dinan and BMW covered to that time. BMW honored and they made the deal with Dinan. Can be purchased through BMW in lieu of their Platinum extended warranty and it's about the same price. You can extend your service maintenance agreement with BMW now included to 4/50k to 6/100k for $2495 more. So now full coverage on my BMW till 6/100k for both BMW and Dinan, a dream come true and 15% off. You can purchase the Cornerstone warranty up until your factory 4/50 warranty is about to expire. I'm buying now just in case they change their mind down the line.
