Why even bother turning on the Internet with those speeds? Would be faster to use smoke signals.

Seriously. Who thought it would be a good idea to make the water pump part of the timing gear cover?

Good chance it's due for a lot of expensive servicing at 98k miles. People like to sell their E46 M3s when they have a Inspection II bearing down on them. Nice looking car, though.

Why is a reno craigslist search giving rocklin results?

Either way, Hellrot looks better

So I've been thinking about this trip I'm taking, whether you remember me talking about it or not, and decided that I need to quit sitting on my ass looking for a camera and actually buy one.

The Nikon D3200 is standing out, and I'm looking for video quality and options almost just as much as I am image quality. Would buy it right now but money don't grow on trees dag nammit. Anyone got any insight for me? I'm open to anything(calm down randy).

For those who haven't seen those new style turbines, they're absolutely unbelievable. Like 430 feet from tip to base IIRC. They are replacing a bunch of the turbines here on the Altamont with those, each auntie blade gets trucked in on it's own semi with a dolly, and they just tower over the normal ones.
Ok, is that what I saw about a year ago being lugged out from somewhere east of Sacramento? The giant wing things being pulled on giant semi's. I've never seen anything like it. I figured they were just decorations going to the new Sac terminal.

dumb question time... If I don't have the rubber pads that go under the rear springs thats bad...right? because i wheeled the adjuster in the rear up a lot and the spring still sits loose and the shock still sits lower than the tower, i figure its because i need the pads

Which shocks do you have now?

I have the opposite, my shock sits higher than the bottom mount.

Bimmerworld sells 5mm, 10mm and 15mm pads. I got the 15mm ones so I wasn't showing gap in the front and tucking rim in the rear. Now I show gap in the front and only tuck a little tire in the rear. I don't get why the rears of these cars likes to sit so much lower.

The upper pads are the ones bimmer world sells though, there is also a lower one that helps center the spring.

^I'm guessing that BMW wanted to design the front so that the wheels have more room to turn. Function over form type of thing.

I guess it makes sense. BTW, my exhaust rattled getting off the highway this morning, I guess that fix I did wasn't as good as I thought. I need to roll under there and make sure the clamp is still tight.

The only thing I can think of to improve it is to order the "better" clamps that I have on the inner pipe, modify it before I use it, and put it on ONCE. They say not to reuse them because the metal really only stretches once, might be my problem. I think the other clamps will be easier to modify too.

Unless my ghetto-clamp is falling off and is about to start dumping from the header it'll probably be a few weeks/months before I get back around to it, the rattle really isn't too bad. But I'll PM you if I ever figure out a permanent fix.

precisely my problem, rear tucks rim, and the front sits even, so much camber too, im too poor to be this low

Exactly, hence why I hate the lowering springs that
Everyone sells, they don't fix this problem. The rear should be lowered an inch max and the front 2 inches minimum.

Don't you have coil overs? Raise the rear and get camber arms!

How much do you pay for tires? I get nexens 225/45 front and 245/40 rear for around $350 for all 4. really cheap.

This won't help with ykur camber issue, but the shorter shock will ride much better on your slammed car, and it will always keep the spring under tension.

Only downside is you will be three wheeling everywhere.
