Brake and abs warning on 2000 540i
Having trouble finding the cause of my brake and abs warnings. Have tried tests on other threads and here's what I get:
no sensors respond to the diode test on my meter, all read open loop the front sensors read high mega ohm resistance in one direction only the rear sensors read infinite resistance in both directions the front left sensor when removed disables cruise control the rear driver side sensor when removed disables the speedometer. I'm thinking all the sensors are good and the module is bad. Any one have any ideas? |

Sounds like the module to me. I did all the test that you are describing above on mine, and came up with the same results. My module is bad and needs replacing. I think you can have them rebuilt for a lot cheaper than you can buy one.

Re-checked all the sensors and I must have missed the right front. It's shorted. I'll try a $18 ebay cheapo first.
