How do I remove Pre-Vanos Throttle Body? (doing Gaskets, valley pan job)
Hey guys I am doing a bunch of stuff, I got the electrical boxes and intake bolts off as I'm gonna do intake gaskets, tb, ccv, valley pan etc. but I can't figure out how to remove the Pre-Vanos (97-98 M62) throttle body. I did search a bit and the members that replied to my thread on the "other board" were only familiar with the TU tb.
Any help is appreciated, I'm sure it is not hard, I am just a beginner mechanic. 1. There is a thin cable (arrow is pointing to it) connecting to the throttle body/ASC that is preventing it from being removed fully, how do you disconnect this? ![]() 2. My flashlight is pointing to the hose that is still blocking a throttle body t30 bolt (I couldn't get it to show but its right behind the hose). I was able to loosen the hose clamp and slide it back but the hose doesn't freely come off. Is this a yank hard moment or am I attacking this incorrectly?
