E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki

Mein Auto: 540i sport
Brought back to life!

About two months ago, I bought a 1997 540i with 160,000 miles on it as a project car it had been in an accident which wrecked the front end and also the frame of the car and some suspension damages. So I thought I'd share before and after pics with y'all

I did that a while back,

it was fun & good times to bring it back to life , I spend 2 years rebuilding my 540 from the ground up, enjoyed it for 3-4 months before it was totaled when some a-hole rear ended me while waiting at the redlight

Sucks to see all that hard work go down the drain. I hope I enjoy this car to its full potential I plan on keeping it for as long as I can
