Camber help

Hello,

I had some new shoes mounted on the X3 today and my indy told me I really needed an alignment. Well, I got the X back, and when viewed from behind, it sure seems like there is a LOT of negative camber on the rear tires. I didn't take a picture of the car, but I do have the alignment before/after reports and was curious if someone here could take a look and offer any suggestions.

In reading the reports, of which I am NOT an expert, it seems like the settings are "in range".. But with such a negative camber, it sure seems like i'm going to see a lot of wear on the inside of the tire.

Thoughts/Suggestions for me??

No expert here either but it looks like the "After" specs are more in line with what they should be. Some of the "Before" specs were definitely off.

Don't worry about the seemingly excessive negative camber on the rear wheels, it's normal. As long as the camber, toe and thrust angle are correct there shouldn't be a problem. Wear on my 2005's rear tires has been pretty darn even across the tread pattern all the way down to the wear bars. (Front ones too) I'm on my second set of replacement tires now and have never had or needed an alignment.

Those are 100% acceptable alignment numbers in my experience.
Almost identical to the numbers on our 2004 X3 with 132,000 miles on it now.
We haven't had any negative experiences with abnormal tire wear.

Alignments are the only reason I visit the local BMW dealer.

Thanks to all for the feedback. My indy has a new "alignment machine" which is part of the reason I posted this... the other was that visually, nothing looks any different. But I'm going to ignore what I "see" and put my faith in the forum and the numbers! Thanks everyone!

Ps... if you need an reputable indy for Audi/BMW work, I highly recommend Berhard's here in the Lehigh Valley area of PA...
