Sunroof shade problem! need help!!

I have a 2005 645ci and one night i noticed only half of the sunroof shade came out and the other half stayed behind only covering the front half of the sunroof when fully closed... i thought that the shade was just one whole piece but after this happened, i guess its a 2 piece shade... anyone experienced this with their 6er?? need to know how to fix or if someone could tell me wut happened to it.... thanks!

Had exact same issue but on X3 (panoramic sunroof). Turned out the entire sun roof cassette had to be replaced. I hope you are under warranty.

As previously stated, you have to replace the whole cassette, it's a few grand.

I took out the shades, and just made it a pano-roof when this happened to my 6er.
