E46 conv not working
I HAVE A 05 325 CONV. the top got stuck 3/4 closed and i had my son close the top manualy while i pressed the closetop button and the top is now closed and locked in place. but it does not open any more i did notce the red lite on the close top is still flashing thow the top is shut.

The first thing to check is the trunk. Make sure it's actually closed and did not get opened inadvertently with either the key or the button in the footwell.
Next is the folding top storage compartment in the trunk. There is a sensor in there and mine sometimes gets messed up. I usually fold the compartment up then back down and life returns to normal.
