The new to the US BMW X1 will arrive at BMW dealers in the fall of 2012 as a 2013 model year. Get your X1 28i with either sDrive (RWD) or xDrive (AWD) or get the US exclusive I6 N55 powered X1 35i dDrive. |

e91 chassis for the x1. Really?
No manuel and old tech. I was getting into this so please let me know if it is true before I order.

Relax It's a chassis not yogurt. It doesn't have a shelf life.

True. The X1 initially came out in late 2008 as a 2009 model. So yes, it runs on older technology although the N20 4-cyl and drivetrain is new.

Correct X1 is based on XWD E90... upgrade will have four cyl turbo.... ie F30 engine and gearbox

I know you are right and after owning for a month I feel sure I wouldn't look back. The idea of the x1 is exciting with lower price, possibility of Euro Delivery and I also like the upright seating. Last hang up is cargo space vs fun factor or x3 vs x1.

Euro Delivery noted below on the website which states 2000 savings on the sDrive. I checked just now so maybe something has changed.

X1 is available for ED. However, right now they will come out of dealer allocation and so the ED discounts typically found may not be possible.

ED Discount
Any idea concerning time frame for "normal " discounts? I am guessing when dealers are fully stocked so maybe November-December.
