Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier Announces $14 billion in Orders at Farnborough Airshow

The world's three largest passenger-jet manufacturers, Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier, announced multiple new orders at the Farnborough International Airshow with a value of as much as $14 billion.

Prior to the official start of the show, Boeing announced an order for 23 737 Max aircraft from Virgin Australia and, on the first day, announced a $7 billion order for those aircraft from Air Lease Corporation. This was followed by two separate ….

Not bad, but the article isn't all-encompassing.

Boeing sold another 30 737s to Avolon, not to mention the 150-plane order to United (which I suppose didn't really take place at Farnborough).

In short, Boeing crushed Airbus at this show. Last year, it was the opposite.

The article was written after day 2 of the air show if you look at the dateline. It could only have reported up until that point. At the end of the show, the total was $55 billion.
